My latest showreel, focusing primarily on my 2022 projects, including 'Clipheads' (Strawberry Blond, CBBC) and the acts that I filmed/edited at the Edinburgh Fringe. It also includes clips from my previous personal projects.

I served as editor for Strawberry Blond's new CBBC show "Clipheads". Voiced by Saoirse-Monica Jackson, the show features kids reacting to clips and playing games. Initially starting out on clip prep and VT editor, I was creating entire episodes from scratch by the end of the season's run. This is an example of an episode that I was the sole editor on.
After a little lull, I received a call in May of last year from @enterprisescreen asking if I would like to come on as a freelance video editor to work on a series of videos that Enterprise are creating for Arizona State University. These short videos feature lecturers covering a massive array of topics. The work entails taking the raw footage from three cameras of the best take, cutting between each, grading the footage, fine tuning the presenter's audio, sourcing and manipulating appropriate music, implementing graphics, sourcing/manipulating relevant stock footage, implementing stock sound effects for said footage and finally mixing the audio.
I've been fortunate enough to learn so much about grading practices and have taken my SFX work/audio mixing to an entirely new level. Finding just the right sound, possibly cutting it up and doubling it, manipulating its pitch and speed, panning it to match the visuals and creating soundscapes with layered sounds has been one of my favourite aspects of the work.
As well as being an enjoyable opportunity, the work has been incredibly rewarding - challenging me in ways that have allowed my picture and sound manipulating abilities to flourish. I can confidently say that I'm a much better editor than I was nine months ago and it's all thanks to working with Enterprise on this project and thanks especially to the amazing Glen Kennedy for all his help and guidance.
I'm on a small break currently but I'm looking forward to returning soon!
Johnny Baird and I were recently asked to film a series of Live Lounge style videos for their upcoming album. The first of which is their tongue-in-cheek version of Olivia Newton-John's 'Physical'. The following releases will be a mix of new and older material.reat video
